Chana Dal Tikki Recipe
How to make Chana Dal Tikki
Step 1 – Take a chopping board and chop coriander leaves, onions, green chilies. Now, place a pan over medium flame and heat 1 tablespoon refined oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, add onions, garlic paste, ginger paste, chopped mint leaves and green chillies to it. Fry it until onions turn glossy. Add the soaked chana dal to it. Mix it well and let the water dry up. Once the water dries up, transfer the ingredients in a grinder jar. Grind it form a paste.
Step 2 – Transfer the ground paste in a bowl. Sprinkle salt, garam masala powder and chaat masala powder in it. Mix it well and make it in the form of a soft dough. Take small portions from this dough and flatten them out in the shape of tikkis. Now, dip the tikkis in gram flour and set these aside.
Step 3 – Now, place a deep-bottomed pan over medium flame and heat oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, one by one, add the tikkis in it. Fry these tikkis until they are golden brown in color. Transfer the tikkis onto an absorbent paper to soak up the excess oil. Serve these hot on a platter with a dip of your choice to enjoy!
