Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Dry Fruits Laddu. These laddus are packed with the goodness of various dry fruits and are perfect for a healthy snack.
Ingredients:
- Dates – 1 cup, pitted and chopped
- Almonds – 1/2 cup
- Cashews – 1/2 cup
- Pistachios – 1/4 cup
- Walnuts – 1/4 cup
- Raisins – 1/4 cup
- Desiccated Coconut – 1/4 cup
- Poppy Seeds – 2 tbsp
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
- Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp
Instructions:
- Dry Roast the Nuts:
- Heat a pan on medium heat and dry roast almonds, cashews, pistachios, and walnuts separately until they are slightly golden and aromatic.
- Let them cool down completely.
- Grind the Nuts:
- Once cooled, coarsely grind the roasted nuts in a food processor. Do not make it a fine powder; a coarse texture is desirable.
- Prepare the Dates:
- In the same food processor, add the chopped dates and grind until it forms a smooth paste.
- Toast the Coconut and Poppy Seeds:
- In the same pan, dry roast the desiccated coconut until it turns light golden.
- Remove the coconut and roast the poppy seeds for a minute or until they start to pop. Set aside.
- Mix Everything Together:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground nuts, date paste, raisins, roasted coconut, and poppy seeds.
- Add cardamom powder to the mixture.
- Forming the Laddus:
- Heat ghee in a pan and pour it over the dry fruit mixture.
- Mix everything thoroughly so that all ingredients are well combined.
- Take a small portion of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form small balls (laddus).
- Repeat the process until all the mixture is used up.
- Storage:
- Store the dry fruits laddus in an airtight container. They can be kept at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerated for longer shelf life.
