How to make Pineapple Chutney

Step 1 – Prepare the pineapple

Peel the pineapple, cut it and chop it into very small cubes.

Step 2 – Make the masala

Add cumin seeds, onion seeds, mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds to a pan. Dry roast until fragrant. Crush them coarsely and collect them in a bowl.

Step 3 – Cook the pineapple

Now add the chopped pineapple cubes to a pan. Add sugar along with 1/4 cup water and cook for 2 minutes. Now cover with a lid and cook for at least 15-20 minutes. Now the pineapple cubes would have absorbed all the water and would have turned glossy.

Step 4 – Final add ons

Now add garlic paste, red chilli powder and the crushed mixed seeds masala. Mix well and cook for 5 more minutes.

Step 5 – Ready to be served

Pineapple Chutney is ready to be served. Enjoy!
